Pausely ("we", "our", "us") is a subscription management application for iOS. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this app and website.
With your explicit permission, we use Apple's Screen Time API to show how much you use each subscription, so we can calculate what it costs per hour. The detailed usage data is processed on your device by Apple's frameworks. Only the total minutes of use for each subscription are saved to your account.
If you choose to connect your Gmail account, Pausely uses Google's Gmail API with read-only access to detect subscription receipts automatically.
Pausely's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Gmail data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than subscription detection.

We do not use your data for advertising, sell it to data brokers, or use it for automated decision-making with legal effects.

We do not use Meta, Google Analytics, Firebase, Amplitude, or any advertising SDK.
All sub-processors are bound by Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and must comply with GDPR where applicable.
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
To exercise any right: in the app via Profile → Settings → Privacy, or by email to pausely@proton.me. We respond within 30 days (72 hours for urgent GDPR requests).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (e.g. ICO in the UK, your national DPA in the EU).
You can delete your account and all associated data:
Requests by web form or email are completed within 30 days. Anonymous cancellation-difficulty ratings you submitted are kept without any link to you, and we keep a record that a deletion took place, without personal data.
Your data may be processed outside your country of residence (including the United States). We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place via Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and Data Processing Agreements with all sub-processors.
Pausely is intended for users aged 16 and over. When you create an account, we ask you to confirm your date of birth to check you meet this minimum age. We use it only to check eligibility and do not store it; we keep a record that you confirmed you are 16 or older, when you confirmed it, and the policy and app version at the time. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us at pausely@proton.me and we will delete the account immediately.
With your permission, Pausely shows notifications before upcoming renewals, before free trials end, and for your Pause Plan. They are scheduled on your device; nothing is sent from our servers. You can choose which ones you get in the app (Profile → Notifications) or turn them off in iOS Settings → Notifications → Pausely.
The Pausely iOS app does not use cookies. Our website uses only strictly necessary functionality (no tracking or advertising cookies). See our Cookie Policy for details.
We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
